Our Management Team
As Managing Partner of Levco Management, Jared is responsible for overseeing all business operations and departments within Levco. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from one small property in 2013 to a fully integrated multifamily investment, management, and construction firm that is one of the most active investors and renovators of apartment complexes in the mid-Atlantic. Mr. Levin has a diverse background in accounting, construction, finance, and investment management and is credited with structuring the firms operating and investment management platform which has carried out a variety of business plans resulting in superior risk adjusted returns to the firm and its capital partners.
Prior to co-founding Levco, Jared was the VP of acquisitions and asset management for a mid-Atlantic based real estate investment manager and development firm, and as held previous roles in finance, accounting, and investment management. He additionally serves as a board member and co-founder for United Vascular, a national healthcare firm focused on owning and operating ambulatory surgery centers.
Jared holds a graduate degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University, where he graduated with honors. He attended Lynchburg University for his undergraduate studies.
Jared lives in Richmond, VA with his wife, daughter, and two dogs. He is an avid runner, and enjoys spending time outside golfing, biking, and cooking with his family.
As Managing Partner of Levco Management, Max shares operational responsibilities and is focused on the firm’s growth through strategic acquisitions and dispositions, capital raising, investor relations, and asset management. Mr. Comess is a third-generation commercial real estate investor in the mid-Atlantic with life-long experience across the apartment, hospitality, retail, and industrial sectors. His background also includes professional roles in real estate brokerage, resort development, land use and planning, and modular construction.
Prior to co-founding Levco, Mr. Comess was a Managing Director at HFF (now part of JLL), a commercial real estate investment advisory and capital markets firm. While at HFF, Mr. Comess arranged several billion dollars of real estate investments across the country for some of the world’s largest institutional investors, banks, private equity funds, and REITs. Prior to HFF, Mr. Comess managed construction and operational projects for a publicly traded casino gaming company.
Mr. Comess holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and is an alumnus of the Collegiate School in Richmond. Max earned his pilot’s license in 2001 and enjoys flying a Cirrus SR-22 with his wife and daughter. His dogs prefer to drive.
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President of Levco Management, Samantha is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the property management and construction divisions. As a founding employee, Samantha has played an instrumental leadership role with Levco’s growth since bringing all property management operations in-house during 2016.
Prior to Levco, Samantha worked with Thalhimer, where she started out as a leasing consultant and advanced to become a regional property manager. She has been in involved in the direct management of over 3,000 apartment units throughout her career.
Samantha is currently a Candidate for the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation, the highest industry standard for property managers. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and camping.
Vice President, Construction
As Vice President of Construction, Marcus is responsible for overseeing all renovations and construction activities with the company. Marcus joined Levco in 2018 and has played an instrumental part in developing Levco’s in-house construction division.
Marcus has been involved in the apartment maintenance and renovation business for over 20 years. Prior to Levco, he worked with HD Supply in their multifamily renovation division. He has previously held roles as a regional maintenance director for two large apartment management firms. Over the course of his career, Marcus has renovated or maintained over 15,000 apartment units.
Marcus holds an OSHA 30 designation and Class A Commercial Building Experience License for the State of Virginia. Outside of work, Marcus enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
As the Controller, Nicole is responsible for overseeing the firm’s corporate and property accounting processes and financial report preparation.
Nicole joined Levco in 2021. She previously worked as an accountant with Colliers International, in addition to previous accounting roles in banking and public accounting. Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business. Outside of Levco, she enjoys tackling home projects, “Up-cycling”, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
As a Regional Manager at Levco Management, Danielle is responsible for overseeing and providing day to day support for Levco’s apartment communities and on-site staff in properties throughout the Richmond, VA area.
Danielle joined Levco in 2017. She began her career in the apartment business as a leasing consultant and quickly rose through the ranks. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys shopping, traveling, volunteering for her son’s cub scout den, and visiting museums.
As a Regional Manager at Levco Management, Melissa is responsible for overseeing and providing day to day support for Levco’s apartment communities and on-site staff in properties throughout Hampton Roads, VA.
Melissa joined Levco in 2019. She began her career as a leasing consultant and quickly rose through the ranks. Melissa has managed over 3,000 apartment units and holds a Certified Apartment Manager designation. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and tackling home improvement projects.
As a Regional Manager at Levco Management, Jen is responsible for overseeing and providing day to day support for Levco’s apartment communities and on-site staff in properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic. In addition to regional manager responsibilities, Jen provides support with due diligence and onboarding for new acquisitions.
Jen joined Levco in 2021. She has over 20 years of multifamily management experience throughout Washington DC, Richmond, and Hampton Roads. She has previously held regional manager and corporate level positions with Greystar, Kettler, and Lincoln Property Company. Outside of work, Jen enjoys traveling, biking, horseback riding, and hiking with her husband and dogs.
Project Manager, Construction
As a Project Manager at Levco Construction, Darryl is responsible for overseeing the firm’s apartment renovation projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Darryl oversees on-site material ordering and delivery, scheduling, and quality control across Levco’s vendors, construction crews, and subcontractors.
Darryl joined Levco in 2021. Darryl has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction and building supply industry. He previously has held multiple positions with Mid South Building Supply, including developing the company’s multifamily department, which he ran for over twelve years. Darryl has been involved in the renovation of over 6,000 apartment homes throughout his career. Darryl holds a BS in Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. Outside of work, Darryl enjoys gardening, woodworking, traveling, and fishing.
As an Accountant at Levco Construction, Debbie is responsible for bid compilation, vendor coordination, and job cost accounting for all Levco Construction projects.
Debbie joined Levco in 2020 and has over 12 years of experience in the construction accounting field. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the river, traveling, and spending time with her granddaughter.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, Kristin is responsible for managing all accounts payable processes within Levco’s property accounting.
Kristin joined Levco in 2020.
As a staff recruiter for Levco, Candace manages the employee recruiting and hiring process for all of Levco’s corporate and on-site positions. Candance joined Levco in 2021, and has over 6 years of recruiting experience with a variety of companies and staffing organizations.
As an Adminstrative Assisitant, Krisdee is reponsible for managing all administrative and office tasks for Levco’s corporate office, in addition to providing support to the corporate staff. Krisdee joined Levco in 2021.
